After a suspect shot at a Washington State Patrol car Monday night, a serious manhunt began.

Around 9 p.m, the officer tried to pull over a car driven by two men near Forsell Road off of Highway 241. The trooper was going to stop them for speeding.

They fled, and after a short chase lasting several minutes, the car pulled into a driveway of a home. The suspects fired several shots at the patrol car, but the officer was not injured. He was able to hide behind his car.

The WSP released some images, including this one showing bullet holes in the windshield.

The two suspects were last seen running towards a rural area off the road. The shooting occurred near the Walmart distribution center by Grandview.

SWAT teams are searching area orchards, buildings and other structures, according to the Tri-City Herald.

The only description of the two men is that they are both "dark skinned."
