Gonzaga University is the latest school to join the 'booster bandwagon,' requiring staff and on-campus in-person students to get a COVID booster.

THEY WILL BE EXPECTED TO DO SO WITHIN 14 DAYS OF ELIGIBILITY

The Unversity of Oregon is doing this, Cal-State University, University of Cal Berkeley, and some others.

According to reports, the school will also be requiring staff and students to get tested two days (48 hours) prior to their campus return. The school starts up again January 10th.

Gonzaga and other schools are persisting in the booster requirement, despite growing evidence the new COVID variant, Omicron, appears to be vaccine-resistant. A Columbia University study released by the New York Post shows boosters might not be much help against it either.

Other new studies show Omicron appears to be carrying a variant or variants of the common cold, which is why (According to a report from Reuters News) the Deseret News reported:

"The small bit of the common cold inside of omicron “could mean the virus transmits more easily, while only causing mild or asymptomatic disease,” according to Reuters."

Yet, the requirements keep multiplying.
