A man was arrested just before midnight Sunday night in Kennewick -- not for what a "victim" thought he did -- but his own rap sheet.

Kennewick police were called to a residence in the 500 block of North Edison after a caller indicated the suspect was on the premises in violation of a no-contact order.

However, the call went dead.

At the scene there was no sign of the suspect.

But a short time later 24-year-old Reuben Trenidad was found on another part of North Edison. Police determined Trenidad did NOT actually violate the court order, but he ended up ARRESTED ANYWAY because he had TWO outstanding felony arrest warrants.

Trenidad is now in the Benton County Jail. So, the 911 call actually acted as a "tip" leading to his arrest.
