From the Washington State Patrol:

A boulder fell in the middle of the road on State Route 97 about 20 miles north of Wenatchee on Thursday.

At about 4 p.m., Trooper Jeremy Weber tweeted photos of the 5-foot rock blocking the way of traffic. It had to be pushed off the roadway by a large truck with a scoop. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

In the tweet, Trooper Weber indicated that the rock fell because of “all the moisture on the hills.” He urged drivers in the area to use caution on the highway.

The roadway has been cleared and drivers are advised to remain alert and use caution.
