Earthquake Near Badger Canyon Was Accidentally Man Made
If you live in the area near Candy Mountain or Red Mountain and you thought you felt a light earthquake today...it turns out it was a quarry blast. The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network originally thought it was a magnitude 2.3, but it was revised to magnitude 1.7.
On a personal note, I find quarry blasting is the most satisfying when it's snowing like hell and 27 degrees. I don't have to blast a quarry right now, but if I did, it would be in these exact conditions! LOL!
