Driver Luckily Escapes Weekend DUI Flipover Crash near Prosser
Yet another reminder of how impaired drivers sometimes draw a lucky hand and survive a crash.
Intoxicated 21-year-old flips car near Prosser
Saturday evening, shortly before 7:30 PM, Benton County Deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle flip-over crash not far from Prosser.
The incident occurred on West Johnson Road, between Missimer and Wilgus Roads near Prosser.
The 21-year-old driver, whose ID was not released, lost control of their vehicle and wound up in a shallow ditch, taking out a few mailboxes as well.
Fortunately, the driver was not seriously hurt but was taken to the Benton County jail on DUI charges. No other details were released.
This was one of two DUI-related crashes in Benton County over the weekend, the other being a two-person fatal crash at Clearwater and Steptoe, that one also caused (apparently) by an impaired driver.
