Did a Washington Senator Pull a ‘Roseanne?’
When Rosanne made the comments that got her fired from her own show, she said she was taking Ambien, the sleep aid. When Washington Senator Maureen Walsh made the comment that nurses, "probably play cards for a considerable amount of the day," she says she was tired and wishes she hadn't said it. Yes, sleep deprivation or total grogginess can be a problem. At least it was for Roseanne and it is for Sen. Walsh. Why she say such a thing about some of the hardest working people in the world? It all has to do with a bill that would support meal and rest breaks for nurses in addition to regulating mandatory overtime.
