Kennewick Police continue to investigate a serious injury accident from Tuesday night.

Car, Truck Collide at Intersection of Gage and Steptoe

Tuesday evening, Police responded to find this crash at the intersection of Gage and Steptoe. No details about what may have led up to it, nor if any charges will be filed.

We do know KPD said there were "injuries" involved, and while we have unconfirmed reports some of them were serious, no official word on their extent.

This intersection continues to be one of the most accident-prone in our area, and a lot of injuries result because of the speeds of the vehicles coming up Steptoe and on Gage.

Not long ago, the Tri-City Herald reported a study of area accidents that shows at least 1 out of every 10 crashes in the Tri-Cities area occurs at this intersection.

There have even been fatalities, including a person who died in a collision at the site in 2018.
