So many truck driver deaths could have been prevented if oncoming traffic would take 5 seconds to slow down and move over. That's the message professional drivers hope to spread with an 'awareness convoy' this evening in Kenenwick. The convoy will start at Columbia Center Mall and wrap up at Gold's Gym. One driver said he's lost a lot of hats because passing traffic at top speed blows them right off his head. When these drivers are on the shoulder, if approaching traffic doesn't slow down and move over, they are only inches away from 3000 lbs. of steel going 60-70 mph.
