A clever but aggressive monkey who was being kept behind bars staged his own jailbreak in Japan over the weekend...

Lucky, a macaque monkey commonly found throughout Japan, was captured last October after a stealing and pillaging spree through several Japanese towns where he is estimated to have bitten at least 120 people! He was being held in the city of Mishima in an animal exhibit.  Macaque monkeys are considered a nuisance in Japan for their habit of foraging for food, and destroying crops. The animal was given the name Lucky because of his ability to elude capture for months.  He managed to slip out undetected while a worker was cleaning his cage!
