Collision on Kennewick Blue Bridge Sends Injured Man to Hospital

A man was sent to the hospital Tuesday morning after a crash on the Blue Bridge in Kennewick.

The collision took place at 8:14 am. Both vehicles were Northbound on State Route 395.

As the 25-year old male driver was slowing for traffic, a Jeep Liberty driven by a 72-year old woman slammed into the man's Chevrolet Aveo.

The woman was not injured in the crash. She was cited for following too close. The injured male was transported to Lourdes Health for his injuries.

Both parties were wearing their seatbelts.
