City Council Passes Resolution Demanding Inslee Undergo Mental Evaluation

The town of Winlock, WA  (2019 population 1,791) has had one claim to fame for years, having the world's largest 'egg' on display. It's a giant white globe perched on a tall mounting pole (click here to see it).

But after last night's city council meeting (Tuesday Sept.13) the town will add another one.

Winlock is located about ten miles south of Chehalis in Lewis County, which has had some pretty heated, testy, even threatening exchanges with Gov. Inslee's administration and state officials since the beginning of COVID.

Tuesday night, the Council, led by Mayor Brandon Svenson, unanimously passed a resolution demanding the Governor undergo a mental health evaluation.

 As reported on by We The Governed online, besides declaring the city will no longer abide by or follow his mandates related to COVID and other policies, they also implied that Inslee's behavior shows he is clearly not of sound mind. They say his policies clearly show is not fit to lead the state, whether it's economic, social, or COVID edicts.

Part of Mayor Svenson's resolution read as follows:

IT IS MY SINCERE BELIEF THAT GOVERNOR INSLEE REQUIRES A PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL INTERVENTION, AS HE IS UNDOUBTEDLY UNFIT FOR OFFICE IN HIS CURRENT MENTAL STATUS”

While this will be met with much applause from many, honestly, it doesn't carry any 'weight' legally. But it does underscore the rapidly growing sentiment among civic and political leaders (especially in smaller communities and counties) about the serious doubts people are having concerning Inslee's ability to govern.
