You know I love "The Simpsons" and when I saw this Springfield made of LEGOs all I could say was, "WOW!"

The artist's name is Matt De Lanoy. He uses the alias Pepa Quin on Flickr. He's a graphic designer near Woodridge, Illinois. There's a great interview with him on a blog where he explains his passion for LEGOs and where he gets all the pieces. In short, he belongs to clubs that get permission to buy pieces at whole sale prices in wholesale quantities.

There's also a time lapse video showing Matt create the steam stacks for the power station -- it really gives an idea of how much time it took to create that Springfield village!
