Catholic Priest Being Treated At Kadlec for COVID-19

Father Alejandro “Alex” Trejo, pastor of Our Lady of the Desert Parish in Mattawa is being treated for pneumonia caused by the COVID-19 virus at Kadlec Regional Medical center.

The priest has been in a special isolation unit at the hospital, with only two visitors each day, wearing protective medical gear

The church is currently reaching out to those who had contact with the ill priest over the last 30 days. The priest was tested 3 times for the virus the first 2 tests came back inconclusive and the 3rd test came back positive for COVID-19
