According to reports, the former Red Robin in Richland will soon be making way for 2 new restaurants along the busy Richland street.

They say location is everything in real estate and this is a prime location on a well-traveled street that should provide the new tenants with lots of potential customers.

That's how Panda Express is viewing the location. In an article from the Tri-City Herald, Panda Express is eyeing the location for a new restaurant as they expand with another location in the Tri-Cities.

The old Red Robin restaurant is located at 924 George Washington Way and once was also known as City Buffet. City Buffet opened in 2004 and closed down in 2014.

Panda Express wants to demolish the previous building and replace it with a 2,400 square foot building.

Panda Holdings has expressed interest in building a second building on the property that could house another restaurant.

You could potentially see two new restaurants go into the same location as the old Red Robin building.
