It has been reported that Shearer's Foods in Hermiston, famous for chips, cheese puffs, cookies, and snacks, has experienced a devastating boiler fire and/or explosion.
Thick black smoke can be seen for miles, and part of OR Highway 207 has been closed.
Evacuations of surrounding businesses, hotels, or residences are pending as officials are waiting to see if the air quality requires such action.
Injuries are expected but none confirmed at this moment, and our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved and their families.
