Historic Ride With a Ranger Event This Saturday in Tri-Cities
Consider this your invitation to participate to Ride with a Ranger, offered in partnership ith Bike Tri-Cities and the REACH Museum.
The event is set for this Saturday, September 28th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Ride with a Ranger participants will join National Park Service Rangers and REACH Museum staff on a 13-mile roundtrip ride.
Details of the Ride with a Ranger Event:
• All participants will meet at the Green Bridge Historical Marker near the south side of the Cable Bridge in Kennewick.
• Riders will bike the Sacajawea Heritage Trail along the river through Columbia Park to the REACH Museum.
• Presentations will be held at two stops along the way.
At the REACH Museum, you'll have the opportunity to attend programs about the Manhattan Project and explore both indoor and outdoor exhibits.
Registration is Required to Participate in the FREE Event
Registration is open through Thursday, September 26th at 6 pm. Bike Tri-Cities has paid for REACH Museum admission for participants. You can register and learn more about the event at www.biketricities.org. "Walk up" participation is not allowed.
To Ensure the Safety of All Riders, Participants Must:
*Wear a helmet. Helmets are required.
*Register with a friend. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
*Be able to go the distance and keep pace with the group. Participants must be able to ride 13 miles independently or be in a carrier. We recommend ages 15 and up.
