Benton & Franklin Counties Working to Get to Phase 2
There will never be full agreement on whether or not people should wear masks and about a million other things in the world today. But I can tell you this: Right about the time I'm thinking everything's okay and we might have this virus licked, it hit home hard. A co-worker's daughter-in-law came home with news that her sister had just tested positive for COVID. While my co-worker had not seen the sister, she had been around the daughter-in-law. And naturally I had been around my co-worker. Tests have thankfully been negative, but it's crazy how one person affects so many others, even if you've never met.
The Washington Department of Health has the power to allow or deny applications from counties that want to move into the next phase of daily living and business operations. Benton and Franklin counties believe it's time for phase 2 and will apply next week.
