
300 Calls in One Weekend Kept Benton County Deputies Running
The Benton County Sheriff's Office responded to approximately 300 calls for service over this past weekend. It was busy for Tri-Cities law enforcement agencies. As the threat of wildfire activity remains high, Deputies responded to several fire assist calls, in addition to criminal activity calls.
The Sheriff's Office advises residents to remain vivilant and to report ANY suspicious activity. If you see something, say something.
A Female Was Arrested on a Felony DOC Warrant for Escaping Community Custody

The female suspect oddly parked her vehicle and attempted to walk away from the traffic stop. The original charge was for Assault of a Child.

Deputies Also Apprehended a Felony Assault Suspect
The suspect was wanted by the Richland Police Department for Assault in the 2nd Degree Domestic Violence, before taking off to Benton City after the assault. According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office:
Towards the end of our graveyard shift, a burglary occurred and the suspect fled on foot in the Reata area. We deployed a drone attempting to locate the suspect, adding another layer of support to our search efforts.
