Another Man Dead From Hunting in the Mid Columbia
Last week a western Oregon man was shot by his own father in Umatilla County when visibility was poor around a deer herd near Meacham. Over the weekend a Kennewick man was shot by his friends near Colfax.
The Kennewick man was 31-year-old Nicholas Nava-Farias.
He was shot by a muzzleloader rifle. Friends performed CPR on the scene, as directed by emergency responders over the phone, but by the time crews arrived at the remote location he was dead.
A 10-year-old boy in northern Utah was also shot and killed while hunting on Saturday. He was sitting in a vehicle to stay warm when another 4-wheeler pulled up alongside and when the man picked his rifle up off the vehicle it went off, shooting the boy.
