Another Large Fire Raging Near Grand Coulee Dam [VIDEO]

Besides the huge Taylor Bridge Fire near Ellensburg, another large wildfire is now torching ground near Grand Coulee Dam.

North of Grand Coulee Dam near Elmer City,  crews are battling a wildfire that has grown to about 8,000 acres and is not expected to be fully contained until Aug. 20! The fire jumped Highway 155 Wednesday night, and while it has not burned any homes, several farm barns are thought to have been destroyed.

One of the biggest issues with this fire is the extreme smoke and ash sent across the region from the dry grasses. The Buffalo Lake Road Fire, as it is being called,  is occupying at least 150 firefighters from several area and regional fire centers. It is about ten percent contained as of Thursday.
