Can You Help? Aid Richland Ice Cream Shop Owner Now
Our Tri-Cities community is the best, and I love being a part of it. Every morning and afternoon, I drive past Amethyst Creamery on George Washington Way in Richland. Owner Doug Tallman is a generous business owner. I see him on Facebook all the time, promoting neighboring businesses.
Doug Has Had a Devastating Last Year, as He Lost the Love of His Life, Amy.
Today, Doug faces more challenges ahead. In a Facebook post, his friend, Diane Keddy has shared a fundraiser to help.
Doug is fighting kidney cancer while also slowly losing his eyesight to retinitis pigmentosa and glaucoma. Despite these heartbreaking struggles, he has continued to pour love and hard work into Amethyst Creamery — not only to keep his dream alive, but also to keep serving the community he cares so deeply about.
Due to Cancer and Glaucoma Treatments, Doug Must Take Two Months Off Work.
This means he'll have NO income. On top of this, medical bills will be mounting, and daily living expenses will be an issue to cover.

Anyone who knows Doug Tallman, knows he's extremely dedicated. He shows up for others. He's raised money for those in need, supports local causes, and businesses. Doug's generosity is endless. Maybe we can reciprocate.
We are asking our community, friends, and anyone moved by his story to help ease this burden. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward supporting Doug with living costs, medical expenses, and keeping Amethyst Creamery going until he can return.
