A Boat, A Grand Piano, and 8 Other Free Items Available on Tri-Cities Marketplace Right Now

Every once in a while I like to browse the free section of Tri-Cities Facebook Marketplace and it always amazes me to see the various types of items that pop up. From old photos, pianos, rocks, and even stacks of cut-up firewood. In fact, if you're in the market for firewood, you'll never ever run out - there seems to always be a constant supply of people looking for someone to haul away recently cut-up trees. Here are just a few of the items up for grabs this week on Facebook Marketplace.

Free Cow Manure for Your Garden

You can haul as much of this crap as you want as long as you load it. If you need help loading the cow chips it will cost you extra.

Free Fischer Cabinet Grand Piano

I'm not sure if this upright piano can play a tune, but it looks pretty decent for a free item. It's in Hermiston and you guessed it, you haul it away. Chiropractor visit extra.

Free Landscaping Boulders - Prosser

If you're planning to do some changes with the yard landscaping this spring and need some accent boulders, they're waiting for you in Prosser. Looks like you'll need a backhoe to load them up - or the Hulk.

Free Cardboard Boxes

Are you moving? Don’t want to pay $3-$5 a box? Well, go scoop up this batch of free cardboard boxes. Don’t forget to recycle them when you’re done or pay it forward and throw them back up online for the next poor soul who's going through a moving hell.

I can't tell if it's real or faux leather, but it's free - if you want to haul it away. It could be used for a dorm room, a shop, or take it to the Watershed Fest at the Gorge in July.

Like I mentioned at the beginning, if you heat your home or shop with a wood stove, you will likely never run out of wood fuel. I ran across at least 4 "free wood, you haul" posts.

Okay, so maybe it's not the most attractive thing, but hey, it's FREE. The owner isn't even sure if it's seaworthy and wants it to float away to your driveway. So, if you're a fixer-upper kind of person - this might be a steal of a deal for you.

At the price of FREE, this is dirt cheap. It will do wonders for your back but if you have a hole to fill this ought to do the trick. Worms are extra!

I added this one just so I could type, "WTF"? This is the ugliest thing I've ever seen and it needs to burn. Well, wait, maybe I shouldn't be so harsh - as the saying goes, one man's trash is another man's treasure - this couch might brighten someone's day.
