Columbia Basin Dive Team Recovers Stolen Truck at Bateman Island

A truck reported stolen in 2016 was recovered at Bateman Island.

Benton County Sheriff's Deputies were called out to the boat launch near Bateman Island in Richland when a local boater observed what he believed to be a pickup truck in the river. The boater saw something odd on his boating sonar.

According to reports, Columbia Basin Dive Rescue was called in. And, after a search, the above truck was discovered about 100 feet from the shore. The truck was buried under 3-4 feet of mud.

The vehicle was reported stolen out of Kennewick in 2016.
