100 New Jobs Coming to Lyons Ferry

Excavation began nearly a year and a half ago for the new Straw Pulp Mill near Lyons Ferry. Hiring is under way now as the mill will be up and running 24/7 sometime this quarter.

Straw pulp is sandwiched between wood pulp to make paper products like paper cups and plates. Columbia Pulp Pilot Plant in Pomeroy will be adding new workers also.
