Gas prices could go up in Washington. What else is new? The reason.

Gas prices may increase in the Pacific Northwest due to a pipeline rupture up in Canada.

A rupture in a natural gas pipeline in Prince George, Canada could spell a rise in gas cost. The natural gas in these pipelines is used in oil refineries.

According to Gasbuddy, "“The duration of the price impact will depend on the length of time that the pipeline is out of service." Gasbuddy thinks this may last two weeks.
