60 members of the Oregon Army National Guard (st Battalion, 168th Aviation Regiment) go to Kuwait from the Pendleton Airport to fight ISIS.

President Obama is sending more than 400 military experts to set up a new base in Iraq and help that nation's army fight ISIS.

I saw the video of the man pretending to be an Army Ranger on Black Friday and it made me so sad! Then I found out there are SO MANY videos like that there are entire Youtube channels dedicated to them!

Besides the usual menu of barbeques, lawn work, projects and more,  take some time this Monday and honor our veterans, past and present.

I saw this on Facebook and am not sure how old it is. This lady is the coolest person in the world. She's a professional portrait artist and paints the faces of fallen soldiers for their families. She says she isn't political -- she just loves freedom. What makes her double cool is she also runs a goat ranch in central Utah and is super fun and quirky.
