It’s the first day of fall and already the vibrant colors of the season are beginning to burst in the higher elevations. Soon, the entire state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest will transform into a bright sea of colors. Top that with pumpkin spice, apple cider, and crisp cool temperatures and it’s the perfect time to hit the road, take a hike, and enjoy the scenery.

Even though we're suffering through the hottest days of summer right now, there's a beacon of hope -- a light at the end of the tunnel, if you will. A sign knowing that something cool is upon us sooner than later. Fall is coming. I mean, of course it's coming eventually, but these past few days I've started to see more and more fall-related items on shelves...

My garbage can is already full this week but will the city garbage man pick up my extra bags of leaves anyway?
