The 2019 Washington Chamber of Commerce has disclosed the best places to live in our great state. However, only one Tri-City made the top 10 and that city was beaten by "the town so nice they named it twice."

Richland, at No. 8, is the only Tri-City to make the top 10 in the latest Chamber of Commerce rankings of the "best cities to live in all of Washington."

Walla Walla was No. 7, Kennewick is No. 21, Yakima was No. 34 and Pasco is No. 35.

Pullman, Redmond, Issaquah, Sammamish and Kirkland are the top five.

Cities with populations above 25,000 qualified to be ranked and a total of 2,509 cities qualified. The factors weighed include: Employment (number of establishments, median earnings); Housing (owner-occupied housing with a mortgage, monthly housing costs); Quality of Life (work commute, poverty levels); Education (percentage with a bachelor's degree or higher) and Health (obesity ratios).

Do the results surprise you?
