Due in large part to issues related to COVID related shutdowns, a Tri City iconic bookstore will be closing in December.

The Tri City Bible Bookstore, located on Columbia Center Blvd. North, put a post on their Facebook saying they will be closing permanently December 23.

The post read in part:

“After much prayer, consideration and looking at all our options we are sad to announce that our store will be closing December 23, 2020. Covid-19 restrictions and the sale of the building have forced this decision to close. Our hearts are breaking but we are still here to serve you Monday through Saturday 10-5 until then."

According to sources, a potential buyer had been located, but apparently the deal did not materialize. They were one of the longest standing bookstores in the Tri-Cities ever. Although it's changed locations a few times over the years, it's been a constant in the lives of those who relied upon it for faith based literature.

Sources say COVID shutdowns and restrictions were a large part in the decisions to close.
