A Pack of Cougars Caught Drinking Wine in Prosser
WSU Cougs that is! Yes, the crowd was abundant on Saturday afternoon in Prosser for the release of X1 Cougar Wine by Winemaker Flint Nelson.
The wine industry is flourishing in the Prosser Valley
The release of the coveted wine award was cause for celebration at both Wit Cellars locations in Woodinville and Prosser on August 24th.
The Cougar Collectors' Series celebrates Cougar-affiliated wineries and the incredible impact WSU alumni have in the wine industry.
I played an all-acoustic set of light rock, pop, and country songs from 3-6 pm had a chance to chat and take pics with lots of you. The crowd was lovely and so much fun.
Two food trucks provided free food for the event. Crust Woodfired Pizza and Neighbors BBQ.
There were drawings for WSU Swag and signed bottles of #X1 Wine release.
Wit Cellars in Prosser went from zero to 1,300 cases in less than 12 months, but the wines by Flint Nelson, Carolina “Cat” Warwick, and Gina Adams-Royer reflect decades of worth of talent.
They all worked together at Kestrel Vintners, and in May, they opened their tasting room in Prosser near Alexandria Nicole Cellars, Hogue Cellars, and Mercer Estates.
The name of their winery is an acronym for “whatever it takes,” a saying the trio has embraced from the start.
It was a lovely event with Administrative Coordinators Louann Rockney and Susie McFerran for being a huge part of the successful event!
