Dustin Lynch's "Red Dirt, Blue Eyes" is a romantic, pop-country jam.

Co-written by Lynch, Dallas Davidson and Kyle Fishman, the singer's voice is as smooth as butter as he sings of escaping a small town with the woman he loves to venture somewhere new.

Lynch paints a picture of the journey as they travel down a nameless road, past rows of tall corn stalks before dusting off a bottle of wine by the riverbank. He mainly stays true to the modern sound he established on his 2017 album Current Mood, crooning over a suave pop-country beat, "Gotta get you on some red dirt / And get lost in your blue eyes / I wanna see a little suntan / Lit up in the moonlight / Gonna dance you in the midnight sky / And kiss you 'bout a thousand times."

"Red Dirt, Blue Eyes" is one of three songs on Lynch's new EP Ridin' Roads, released on Friday (March 8). The title track is the first single from an impending project, as the hitmaker is actively working on a new album.

"We have a lot more colors to paint with than we did on the first album. I don’t think there are any more genre walls. It’s all about the lyric and the message, and we let the song steer us. If we dig it, we’ll take a chance," Lynch describes (quote via Nash Country Daily).

In addition to new music, Lynch has a busy touring schedule ahead, serving as an opening act on Thomas Rhett's Very Hot Summer Tour.
