Authorities have been shy about explaining their investigation or who they suspect was involved. Irresponsible rumors have already been unleashed. So far, no one has been arrested. Here's what we know right now:The bombs were made of pressure cookers containing gun powder and ball bearings. No one is in custody and no clear motive is known.

The bombs may also have contained nails. Authorities are requesting witnesses turn over any photos or videos they have of the area. The 6-liter pressure cookers (like the kind you use in your kitchen) were left on the ground in duffel bags.

FBI and local police are pledging a "world-wide investigation" for who is responsible.

The Tri-City Herald is reporting all Mid-Columbia residents at the race are safe.
