We are all at different levels of fitness, whether we've been consistently exercising or just starting out. Everyone can agree that some basics are important...like strengthening the core, stretching for flexibility and doing some weight bearing lifts to maintain bone density and strength.

Starting SOMETHING is the key! So, in my beginning series of "Fit Over 50" I will take you through some very slow step by step exercises that have worked for me. Gradually we will increase in movements and strength. And, we will do this together!

We can also discuss, nutrition and exercise outside of the movements. I am not a doctor, or a fitness expert. So occasionally I will take you on an adventure and include a guest speaker or demonstrator. And I will show you things that have worked for me, but you have to decide if those things will be healthy for YOU!

A couple years ago... a few bad choices in attitude about my health, my eating, and my exercise put me in a really bad place. At times I was too busy to take care of myself, nutritionally, emotionally and most of all physically. And, other times, I was simply depressed and didn't have the energy to instigate change. I'd like to share more of my story here. But instead of typing it...

I began back in November (on Thanksgiving Day) and re-committed to begin again and start taking better care of myself. And I feel SOOO MUCH BETTER! So, I want to pass along what I began to do to help make it easier for those of you who just need to 'GET STARTED!'
