We've all seen it, and if you're like me...You've pondered; 'When are they going to fix that thing!'

Here's the story! Two years ago an under-insured man ran his car into the brick wall on the Kennewick side of Steptoe near Arrowhead St.

His insurance left him hanging, and he didn’t have any money. The wall belongs to the property owners, and the homeowner on the other side of the wall just graduated CBC and has no money to pay for the repair herself. That didn’t stop the City of Kennewick from demanding it be fixed or they would do it themselves and place a lien on her property for payment. YOUCH! Right?

With that deadline looming, Everstar Realty, Umpqua Bank, National Property Inspections and Cliff Thorn Construction pooled resources to have it repaired Monday morning Feb. 29. I'm sure that is such an amazing relief for ALL concerned. And I know as a driver, I will appreciate it as well! thanks to ALL who donated, time energy and effort to this cause!

Believe it or not it was REALLY hard to find matching bricks (the wall was originally built two years ago). So the volunteers really had to work to make this all happen!

The owner started a GoFundMe account to repair the wall but only received a little over $200 in donations.

Roughly 11 a.m. Monday the wall will be fixed!
