It looks like the transportation company Uber still might be able to work out problems with city regulation and bring it's service to the Tri Cities. I finally used Uber a couple weekends ago for the first time when I was in Seattle and loved it. It was fast and at least half the price of a taxi, even less if you think about a tip. Up until now, Uber and the cities of the Tri Cities have disagreements over regulation and background checks. That has stalled the company from offering service in the area but now that might all change according to news reports.

This week, a representative from Uber had a meeting with police from all three cities to talk over ways they could change local codes to allow for Uber to move here. After the meeting all three agreed they would look at changes that need to be made to the code however any change would need to be approved by the city council.
