It's Friday and it looks like the Columbia Basin could be getting it's first burst of snow.

We know the weather can change at the drop of a hat so be prepared for this weekend's weather.

This is what you need before you go out and always give yourself extra time.

Here is what the weather is looking like from www.weather.gov

Today

A slight chance of snow before 1pm, then rain and snow likely. Patchy fog before 1pm. Patchy freezing fog before 1pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 35. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight

Rain likely before 10pm. Cloudy, with a low around 33. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

The official start of Winter was this week so as I'm reminded Old Man Winter is a little slow on the uptake this year and maybe he's going to be making up for lost time this weekend.
