The Simple Things In Life

When I get the chance to hang out with my Dad, it always reminds me how lucky I am that my parents were there to spank me when I needed it, Hugged me, encouraged me, and always supported me in what ever I did. I wasn't a perfect kid, but I had, and still have great parents. This year let's all remember life's simple pleasures.

Life's simple pleasures can be having breakfast with a family member, or listening to an old album you haven't heard in years that still puts a smile on your face because it takes you back to the first time you heard it. A simple pleasure doesn't cost money, in fact it may involve you giving someone something they need, and can't afford it. A simple pleasure is petting a dog, watching the sun set from the back deck, or playing slapjackwith your Grandson who some how always knows where the jack's are, a true mystery. A simple pleasure is waking up on Sunday morning to the smell of bacon and fresh coffee, and eating breakfast with your wife and watching football. A simple pleasure is stopping at the crosswalk to let someone cross the street safely, and getting that thank you wave. Life is full of grief, and it's easy to get bogged down in other people's problems, the trick is keeping your focus on the big prize, happiness. There are two kinds of people in the world, givers and takers. Let's all try and be givers this year, after all it is one of life's simple pleasures. What is one of life's simple pleasures you enjoy?
