I had a great time leading the entertainment during the intermissions at Friday's Americans game against Spokane. How about that goalie Eric Comrie? He's amazing! I still can't get over how he stripped that Spokane player on the breakaway, or how he stuck his incredibly long leg (he's over six feet tall) out to the right goal post to stop the puck. A few weeks before he only let 2 goals in out of 48 shots! And every time he takes that mask off we're reminded how young he is (only 17!)
Every time I think of awesome goalies my mind goes back to my days living in Philadelphia. I was AT THE GAME when Ron Hextall scored the first NHL goalkeeper goal:
