Television Legend Dies at 86

86-year-old Andy Griffith, star of "Matlock" and "The Andy Griffith Show," passed away Tuesday.

It was confirmed that early Tuesday morning emergency services were sent to the actor's home. However, Griffith's agent did not immediately respond to a request for statements.

Griffith had the ideal morals and characteristics of a small town family man, exemplifying the values of his community. Even though "The Andy Griffith Show" lasted only eight seasons, the memories and iconic performances will be ever remembered.
