My Horse At The Dentist Yesterday!
If you're a horse owner, you know with spring time.. comes a host of things to get up to date with. West Nile shots, Spring Vacinations, de-worming, and check on your horses teeth. I always think that Spring is the best time to haul your horse to the local vet and have them do a "once over" to make sure everything is up to par. I like to also get a stool sample to check for parasites and sand.
My horse Galeron had dropped a significant amount of weight recently and I had gotten his teeth floated a year and a half ago..so, I did NOT think it was the problem.
But, low and behold, the vet did find some uneven wear and sharp edges on his teeth. I guess that can happen more often than I had thought.
