How Much Should I Pay a Tri-Cities Babysitter? [POLL]

The other night I asked a couple people -- including a stranger -- how much we should pay the babysitter if the kids were asleep the whole time. They all said, "Nothing." WHAT?! I know that's not right, but how much is fair? We usually end up paying between $13-$16 for three kids age 6 and below for between 2-3 hours (they're usually asleep for at least some of it). Is that good? What's fair?

Who Remembers Tri-Cities Junior Soccer?

I've been nostalgic for my childhood lately and was remembering the way youth soccer used to be in Tri-Cities. My kids are too young to play now, so I can't compare and contrast, but here are my favorite things about the way things used to be:

Watch Sandy Hook School Children Perform a Moving Rendition of ‘Over the Rainbow’

It's Tuesday, so you probably need a good cry. Here, watch this video. It's children from Sandy Hook Elementary performing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' on 'Good Morning America.' Best (Free) Indoor Playgrounds for Kids in the Tri-Cities

If you're like me, you've got stir-crazy kids asking to play in the back yard, go on a walk, go to a park -- anything outside. But it's RAINING! It's cold, drizzly, cloudy! That's when I turn to indoor playgrounds. A couple of gymnastic facilities have awesome playgrounds, but they can also be pricey. Fast food is my solution. For the price of a small fry or dollar burger I buy admission to the play area and let my kids get out their wiggles.
A few weeks ago we asked what your favorite free indoor playgrounds were. Below are the answers in the map. Below that is the survey where you can leave your own suggestion.

10 Adorably Bratty Christmas Kids

Little kids are the best. They're pro photobombers and make super weird raps about McDonald's, and that's just scratching the surface. But munchkins can also be the worst. Don't get us wrong-- their adorableness usually overrides any of those 'tudes they try and pull, and you know how we're suckers for anything remotely adorable. But sometimes that awful side emerges in those rare moments of brattiness, and we're left sort of dumbfounded.

Do You Play Board Games After Thanksgiving Dinner?

A new survey says 56 percent of Americans play board games after Thanksgiving. 64 percent said they watch football (I wonder how many watch football while playing board games). But popular culture hardly ever talks about the board games. What do you do?
