Brittany Kerr, the former 'American Idol' contestant who got an extension of her 15 minutes of fame due to a public indiscretion with country superstar Jason Aldean that was caught on tape, has been offered the opportunity to star in a reality show.
Jason Aldean is starting off the week back at the top slot on the country singles chart with his latest hit, 'Take a Little Ride.' The tune takes over the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts, leaping from No. 3 where it was positioned last week.
Jason Aldean should start counting down the days to October 16, when the singer’s next album, ‘Night Train,’ will be ready for the purchasing. Unfortunately, that’s still a few months away. But the good news is, fans of the ‘Fly Over States’ hitmaker can get a sneak peek of his new tunes when he takes them to the internet through David Letterman’s ‘Live on Letterman’ webcast.
Jason Aldean hopes to pay homage to those who live in the ‘Fly Over States’ with his new single from the ‘My Kinda Party’ album, but he fears that the tune is an obvious choice for use in a political campaign, which if used would chip away at the integrity. The last thing the Georgia-born singer wants is to be tied to a candidate — especially one who doesn’t share his interests.

Jason Aldean and hip-hop star Ludacris appear to be working on something new. The rapper recently tweeted the photo of him and Aldean (seen above) pouring over a sound board in Nashville. “In studio again w/ Jason Aldean in Nashville Tn! More history being made right now!” Ludacris tweeted on Monday.
The nominations for the second annual American Country Awards were announced on Wednesday, with Jason Aldean and the Zac Brown Band leading the way with eight nods each. The Dec. 5 FOX broadcast honors country artists in traditional categories like Artist of the Year, but also unconventional categories like Touring Headline Act of the Year.
