We had so much fun riding Sunday!

I took "Lady Liberty" out for the first time this year. I just started her under saddle last spring, and really haven't had many rides on her.

I wasn't sure how she would be, but she did great! She is such a cute little thing, and quite different than riding my BIG Friesien Horse "Galeron"

I Need Your Help To Find Land For Lease or Buy For 3 Horses!

Most of you know I have three horses. And I am looking for a chunk of land that I can buy or Lease to place them. I can feed the big orchard bales so if it has water, I can still live off site.

Ultimately I'd like to find a place to buy with a house, but nothing appears to be in my price range! Lol

Last month we told you about Erin Bolster and her horse Tonk saving a young boy and horse from a 750 lb. Grizzly Bear in Glaceri National Park. It's a story like no other and shows an amazing amount of courage, determination, and loyalty...not just demonstrated by Erin herself, but with her horse Tonk, listening to Erin and going into a situation that he knew was dangerous. Things got a little strange at the Davis County Sheriff's Mounted Posse Junior Queen Contest in Framingham, Utah after an outbreak of horse herpes forced the contestant to show off their equestrian skills on stick ponies.

Although equine herpes poses no threat to humans, the deadly disease is highly contagious among horses, and the animals are generally quarantined during outbreaks. (Which is why live horses weren't available for the Junior Queen Contest.)

There have been 3 confirmed cases of the Equine Herpes Virus-1 in Washington State.

Horse events across the state are being canceled as a precaution to prevent the spread of a highly contagious disease that has been confirmed in three horses in Washington.

Although it cannot be contracted by humans, the disease, Equine Herpes Virus-1, is easily spread among horses, alpacas, and llamas. It can be airborne and transmitted by touch or by sharing feed, brushes, bits and other equipment.
