Dinner In The Dark Fundraising Event
September 6, 2011 Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is holding their annual "Dinner In The Dark "event on September 15th. This event is designed to give you a first hand experience of the world in which the blind and visually impaired live.
Attendees are asked to put on a blindfold when they enter the dining area. There will also be a silent auction as well as a no host bar.
The host Eric VanWinkle shares his life experience growing up in a home where his father is blind and what challenges and experiences he had that shaped his life.
