Girls on the Run is a transforming physical activity group based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. They teach life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The girls are not only being active and learn the importance of being physically healthy, they are empowered to be successful in school, social situations, deal with peer pressure, bullying, and gain other valuable life skills. This Thursday they are hosting an film festival event to support the program.

It will be a fun evening of appetizers, deserts, WINE and incredible short films empowering our girls. The Empowerment Project: Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things follows the incredible journey of 5 female filmmakers driving across America to encourage, empower and inspire the next generation of strong women. The 50-minute film features 8 extraordinary women including Girls on the Run Founder, Molly Barker!
