A Washington State Trooper was shot and killed early

Thursday morning after what appeared to be a routine traffic stop. At the time of this story the troopers Name had not been released, but reports said he was a 16 year veteran, and well liked and respected in the community. Patrol Chief, John Batiste said there are manydifferent Police agency's on the look out for the person or persons who were in the truck that the trooper had pulled over right before his death. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and fellow troopers who are feeling the sting of his death. The last troopeer killed in washington state was James Saunders back in 1999, right here in Pasco. Let this be a reminder to everyone, just how dangerous a job in law enforcement is on a daily basis. Thanks to all law enforcement officers for all you do.
