A 16 year-old girl was in the backseat of a car full of friends. She, like most teen girls wanted to snap a selfie to commemorate the occasion. Nothing was terribly out of the ordinary.

Except, the driver of the car was speeding. When Kailee Mill took off her seat belt, all she was probably thinking about was the pose. That's when it all ended.

She was ejected from the car after it rolled over. She was the only one who died, and the only one who wasn't wearing a seat belt.

Her parents started the Kailee Mill Foundation to educate and spread awareness for seat belt safety.

Even if you're just going down the block to the store at 5 MPH, wear your seat belt. Even in the most mundane of situations, you can never predict what will happen next.
