A Moses Lake man is charged with spitting on a police officer. Reports say that Jonathan Gruver, 43, was charged with  third-degree assault (Law Enforcement), harassment and fourth-degree assault in Grant County Superior Court. Gruver was reported harassing a woman and making threats. A man that was visiting the woman had to intervene and bend his finger back to get him to the door after he barged in. He had made a threat to hurt the woman living there, which she believed he would make good on.

After police had him handcuffed and sitting in an upright position, he leaned forward and spit on the officers face and shoulder. The officer immediately picked him up and started leading him to the patrol car. Gruver immediately fell to the ground and made the officers carry him to the car.
