See Motorcross World Record Attempt This Weekend! — 300-Foot Dirt Jump at Horn Rapids Motorsports Complex

Alex Harvill of Moses Lake is a touring professional motorcross athlete. He holds the world record for a 425-foot jump from a ramp to dirt. This weekend he's attempting the world record for a dirt-to-dirt ramp jump: 300 feet!
The event is this coming weekend, July 6-7, at the Horn Rapids Motorsports Complex northwest of Richland.

Alex's big jump is at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The rest of the day is the Pac West Series coming to the park for the Northwest MX Nationals. Buy tickets at JMC Motorsports or online at hornrapidsmx.com. Tickets at the gate are $20 per person for two days of action.

Harvill has been riding for 16 years and broke his previous record a year ago. He's been planning this weekend's jump for over six months.
